TEHRAN (IQNA) – If we identify the true faith and recognize that the religion will lead us to happiness and salvation, it would be necessary for us to learn about different aspects of the religion.

Need for Learning about Religion’s Different Aspects

Learning about the true faith is obligatory. The Holy Quran says: “Why do not some people from each group of believers seek to become specialists in religious learning and, after completing their studies, guide their group so that they will have fear of God.” (Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 122)

Some people should strive to become specialists in the religion and others should follow them in religious edicts.

This does not mean that ordinary people should not seek to learn about the religion. It is upon all individuals to learn and have knowledge about the religion as much as they could.

Learning about religion is not just about edicts and rules about rituals such as prayers, fasting, etc, but it is also necessary to have knowledge about religious beliefs and the history of Islam.

There are over 6,000 verses in the Quran, from which only 500 are about religious edicts.
